- Course Info: This race combines unmatched scenery with a rugged course sure to challenge the most diehard multi-sport athlete… swim, run, mountain bike.
- The race starts upstream of the historic Town of Thurmond in the languid waters of the mighty New River.
- Once the starting gun is fired, you will wade into the river and travel with the current for 1.5 miles, navigating a small ripple.
- Leap from the water at the site of the once famous Dun Glen Hotel, don your trail shoes and begin a run that will climb 1,000 vertical feet to ACE Adventure Center.
- The 7 to 8 mile run is over single-track trails and forest service roads.
- Now that you're warmed up, hop on your mountain bike for a 10-mile ride over single-track trails that will take you to the brink of the Gorge where you see the swim/run transition 1,000 below! If you are ready for some good ol fashioned off-road racing, then come on down to Southern West Virginia for the ACE Big Canyon ORT!
- Directions To Race: From The Eastern Half of the U.S.
- From I-81 Northbound, take I-77 North at Wytheville until your reach Beckley, West Virginia.
- From I-81 Southbound, take I-64 to Beckley, West Virginia, where I-64 and I-77 merge.
- From I-64,again, follow to Beckley, West Virginia.
- Once in Beckley, West Virginia - take Highway 19 North at exit 48
- Directions To Race: From The West, Midwest and Great Lakes Regions
- Interstates I-64, I-77 and I-79 converge in Charleston, West Virginia
- From Charleston, head south on I-77 / I-64. Take the Mossy Road exit, Rt. 612, and follow to Oak Hill/ West Virginia State Highway 19
- If you are following I-79 South, you can join Highway 19 near Sutton, West Virginia
- Once you reach Highway 19, take the Oak Hill "MAIN STREET" exit
- Off Northbound 19, turn right at the top of the exit ramp
- Off Southbound 19, turn left at the top of the exit ramp
- Across from a busy BP convenience store is MINDEN ROAD
- Turn down Minden Road and follow through the small community of Minden until you see the signs for ACE.

- Directions To Race: Take I-79 to exit 99 and take 33 East to Elkins, take 2nd exit and follow signs to Davis and Elkins College. Event will be held near the campus chapel.

- Course Info: The MedExpress Mountaineer Triathlon will feature a 1.2-mile swim in the Monongahela River, a challenging 56-mile bike ride through the challenging hills of Monongalia County and a 13.1-mile run in and around the city of Morgantown and West Virginia University. A final sprint will lead the participants towards the finish line in downtown Morgantown.

- The swim is in the indoor pool at Wheeling Jesuit University.
- Bike course leaves Wheeling Jesuit University on Currie Drive, turn left on Washington Ave., then right on National Rd. Follow National Rd. east to Lumber Ave. Turn left on Lumber Ave. to the Shilling Bridge. Turn left into the Elm Gove Crossing Mall and exit at Krause Drive. Turn right on Krause Dr. and then left on National Rd. east to Middle Creek Road. Turn right on Middle Creek Road and follow to Union Hill Rd. Turn around and follow same route back to campus.
- 5 K run on cross country trail on campus (3 laps on trail) and finish on the track.
- Duathlon Course Info:
- 5 K run begins outside the transition area and exits the campus on Currie Drive. Turn right on Washington Ave. to the main entrance of the campus. Follow Ignatian Way through the campus and exit again on Currie Dr. Turn right on Washignton Ave and go back in the main entrance. At the top of the hill turn right into Parking B at the Robert C. Byrd NTTC and follow the road into Parking I and past the Acker Science Center. Then run down the hill in front of Ignatius Hall. At the bottom of the hill turn left on Ignatian Way and follow the road past teh stadium to Parking D (Administration Parking) in front of the John and Mary McShane Admissions Center. Run through the parking lot and enter the trail behind the stadium and tennis courts and follow the path to the Transition Area.

- More: Registration deadline is July 11. No registrations will be accepted after that date. Medals are given to all who finish the race. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall male and female winners as well as the top three in each competition category.
- Individual competition categories are by age, gender, weight as well as individual male and female clergy. Teams can compete in the following categories: family, business, civic/service club, faith community, high school, combined age under 100, combined age 101-150, combined age over 151, and clergy.
- All proceeds benefit the shared minsitry of Faith in Action Caregivers and support the independent living of older adults and people with disabilities in Ohio and Marshall counties in West Virginia and Belmont County in Ohio. All services are provided without charge regardless of income level. Services include escorted transportation to medical appointments, shopping, errands, chores, respite for family caregivers, visiting, telephone reassurance and other services based on the availability of volunteer caregivers. - Course Info: Surfaces are paved, lifeguards on duty, lap counters in place. Roadblocks in place when trail crosses public access.
- More: The event will be scored by Run Wild Racing using the AMB Active Chip Timing System. On race day, runners will be issued a rental computer chip and strap which is attached to their ankle and worn throughout the race. Special mats at the finish will record a finishing time for each chip. All rental chips must be returned at the finish line.
