The bike course (10miles) is slightly undulating with a nice, smooth surface and great shoulders. Please stay to the right of the white fog lines. The bike is an out and back turning around at the bottom of Charles Hill Rd. No follow cars will be allowed on the bike course for the safety of the racers as well as normal traffic on the roadways.

- 1/4 Mile Swim The triathlon begins at Blue Heron Park on the shoreline just west of the I-90 walking bridge. Swimmers who are uncomfortable in the water may swim close to the shore in waist deep water. Water temperature will be approximately 65-68 degrees. Wet suits are recommended.
- 12 Mile Bike The bike course will be a fairly flat, out and back ride along S. Frontage Road. Bikers will leave the park, turn L onto Westshore Dr., R onto Westlake St., L onto Hansen Rd., and R onto S. Frontage Road. Bikers will follow S. Frontage until the turnaround at Hiawatha Road. Follow the course back to the transition area located at Blue Heron Park.
- 3 Mile Run/Walk The run course will be very flat, with one small incline, and will be an out and back route. Runners/walkers will leave the transition through the park and then head east on the walking path across the lake. At the end of the trail head turn L and take the second L onto Interlake Rd. Turn R on Marina drive and follow to designated turn around and head back to the finish line in the upper parking lot of Heron Park.

- 24 Mile Bike The bike course will be an out and back ride along S. Frontage Road. There are a few rolling hills with one steep hill at mile 7. Bikers will leave the park, turn L onto Westshore Dr., R onto Westlake St., L onto Hansen Rd., and R onto S. Frontage Road. Bikers will follow S. Frontage until the turnaround at Dodson Rd. Follow the course back to the transition area located at Blue Heron Park.
- 6.2 Mile Run/Walk The run course will be very flat, with one small incline, and will be an out and back route. - Swim 0.4 miles, Bike 22 miles, Run 5.5 miles
- Location: Lakedale Resort
- Course Info: .4 mile lake swim; 22 mile scenic bike and 5.5 mile country lane run
- Swim – A four-tenths of a mile swim on Niva Lake at Lakedale Resort. The swim begins and ends at the beach just past the office and store. Participants swim out and around a buoy and back.
- Bike – A 22-mile loop that takes participants past some of the Island’s most spectacular scenery. The ride begins at Lakedale where participants take Roche Harbor Rd. to Egg Lake Rd. Riders then turn right off Egg Lake Rd. onto Beaverton Valley Rd. and then left onto Boyce Road and right onto Wold Rd. At Bailer Hill Rd., riders turn right, continuing on to Westside Rd. Turn right on Mitchell Bay Rd., then follow Mitchell Bay Rd. and then turn left onto West Valley Rd. passing English Camp before turning right onto Roche Harbor Rd. and returning to Lakedale.
- Run – A 5.5 mile loop that begins at Lakedale. Participants run on Roche Harbor Rd. and turn right onto Egg Lake Rd. Runners then turn left off Egg Lake Rd. onto a gravel road in the Three Meadows community, following a series of markers to Roche Harbor Rd. Runners then turn left on Roche Harbor Rd. to return to Lakedale and the finish line.
- Kids' Race: Splash, Pedal and Dash – for children ages 7 – 14 – will begin immediately after the triathlon/relay race, approximately at noon. - Course Info: The 2006 Lake Stevens 70.3 Triathlon will start from the public boat launch in downtown Lake Stevens, Washington. This community has hosted several national and regional NCAA rowing championships from this exact location.

- The 58 mile bike course will be a double loop course that is moderately hilly through some of the most beautiful terrain in the Pacific Northwest. The bike course will be clearly marked with directional signs and mile markers at every five miles.

- The BIKE route takes you northeast over the scenic Duthie Hill Road with views of the Cascades, Mt Si, and the Snoqualmie Valley. You will then head East on Redmond-Fall City Road and back up to the Plateau along a 2-Mile staircase like hill.
