Location: RiverScape MetroPark, 111 E Monument Ave, Dayton, OH 45402

Course Info:

Course Info The run courses start at RiverScape, quickly cross the river into Deeds Park, and follow the path northward to Island Metropark. After a quick loop through Island, racers return on the path along Riverside, passing the Korean War Veterans Memorial before crossing the bridge and returning to RiverScape.

The bike course is an out-and-back along the Great Miami River Trail that turns around at VFW Post 3438 in West Carrollton.

The final run follows the same path as the opening run, but in the reverse direction.

More: The second annual ‘Whammy’ is a duathlon featuring a 5k opening run, 17-mile bike, and 5k final run.

The event starts, transitions, and finishes at the RiverScape metropark in Downtown Dayton.

The entire course takes place on the various paved recreation paths in and around downtown Dayton and is free of vehicular traffic.

The Whammy will also include a stand-alone 5k race that will start immediately after the last starting wave of the duathlon.

Directions To Race: Take SR33 South to Logan, Ohio and exit onto SR664. Turn right and then right, (100yd) onto Lake Logan Rd. Follow Lake Logan about 1 1/2 miles to the beach.

Course Info: Swim takes place in West Branch Reservoir,followed by bike ride over rolling to flat terrain on open roads to Alliance High School for the bike to run transition,run finishes at AHS, with transportation back to west branch provided

FROM ALLIANCE: Take 225 (Union Av. North - When 225 turns right KEEP GOING STRAIGHT - this is now CH125 or Alliance Road. This takes you straight to the Park entrance. Approx. 16 miles -1/2 hour from Alliance High School.

FROM AKRON: I76 East toRt. 14 • Exit South. In Edinburg, (just South of I76)take left at light on Tallmadge Rd. Then take first LEFT on Rock Spring. Cross over 176 and take a RIGHT on Hughes - then follow the signs to West Branch State Park BEACH area.

FROM CLEVELAND AREA: 1480 to Rt. 14 South. Then follow directions above.

FROM SOUTH: 177 to 176 East at Akron.

3 mile canoe: West Milton Park. Go upstream approximately 1.5 miles, circle the buoy and return to West Milton Park.

20 mile bike: Exit West Milton Park, left on 571, right on SR 48, north on 48 to right on Horseshoe Bend Rd., to right on Greenlee, to right on SR 55, to left on Frederick Kessler, veer right on Iddings, right on 571. Repeat for 2nd loop!

5 mile run: Run out of the park and turn right on the shoulder of State Route 571. Turn right on Iddings Rd until the turnaround point, then back to the park the same way you came.

Directions To Race: Interstate 75 to West on SR 571, to left into West Milton Park.
