Swim 1.5miles, Run 7.5 miles, Mountain Bike 13 miles
Location: ACE Adventure Center
Course Info: Swim leg is held in the New River, Run leg goes from river to ACE 7.5 miles with 1000' vertical elevation gain, mtb course is 13mile loop on ACE, mainly single track with every condition imaginable!
Directions To Race: From US Route 19 exit at the Oak Hill - Main St. exit. Turn right if coming from south, Turn Left if coming from North. Turn left on Minden Rd. (across from BP/Little General c-store). Follow Minden Rd. 2.9miles to ACE Adventure Center.

Swim 1.2 miles, Bike 56 miles, Run 13.1 miles
Course Info: The MedExpress Mountaineer Triathlon will feature a 1.2-mile swim in the Monongahela River, a challenging 56-mile bike ride through the challenging hills of Monongalia County and a 13.1-mile run in and around the city of Morgantown and West Virginia University. A final sprint will lead the participants towards the finish line in downtown Morgantown.
(Morgantown is in northern West Virginia, 77 miles south of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania)

Swim 400 meters, Bike 15.5 miles, Run 3.1 miles
Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
Location: Wheeling Jesuit University, Wheeling, WV
Price: $40 USAT members, $49 non-members, $80 two person team, $90 three person team, ADD $10 for all registrations received after June 23
Course Info: 400 m swim, 25 k bike, 5 k run
  • 400 m swim in an indoor pool
  • 25 K bike course on city streets and a country road. Traffic is controlled by police, fire department and over 130 volunteers. The course is relatively level.
  • 5 K run on a level, shaded cross country trail that finishes with a partial lap on a track.
    Directions To Race: From Interstate 70 take the Washington Avenue exit and follow signs approximately 500 feet to Wheeling Jesuit University.
    More: The race is sponsored by many local businesses, groups and individuals. All proceeds benefit the work of Faith in Action Caregivers which supports the independent living of older adults and people with disabilities in Ohio and Marshall Counties in West Virginia and Belmont County in Ohio through the shared ministry of faith communities. All services are provided without charge to the care receiver and there are no income eligibility guidelines for receiving assistance.

    Course Info: Open water swim in Stonewall Lake, bike is mostly rolling hills, and run is inside the park. There will be a team competition and children's race.
    Directions To Race: Take Interstate 79 to exit 91, then turn right and go 1.5 miles to the entrance of Stonewall Resort.

    Kid's Triathlon
    Location: Beech Fork Lake; 4 miles off Route 152 in Lavalette (Near Lavalette, WV)
    Course Info: The children’s triathlon will have 3 age categories and different distances for each: 7 and 8 year olds will swim 100 yards, bike 1 ½ miles, run ¼ mile; 9 and 10 year olds will swim 150 yards, bike 4 miles and run 1 mile; 11 and 12 year olds will swim 200 yards, bike 6.2 miles and run 2 miles.
