- Course Info: The Silver Lake Triathlon is a beginner-friendly event. The race starts at beautiful Silver Lake and continues in the gently rolling countryside of Portage, Wisconsin.

- The swim is in Silver Lake.
- The bike ride is out and back on Highway 0.
- Run is generally on the north west edge of town.
(APPROXIMATELY 1 1/2 miles of the run is on airport grounds. This section will
be on joint forgiving grass.)
- The event will have lifeguards, volunteers to direct athletes, and water stations.

- All levels of participants are welcome. We encourage all beginners and newbies to get their feet wet.
- Age group and relay divisions only. No elite division.
- Divisions: Male/Female 16-19,20-29,30-39,40-49,50-59,60+.
- Relay teams overall.
- Each participant will receive a t-shirt, goody bag, and food.
- This is a non-profit event. The proceeds will go to an area
charity to be determined. Last years proceeds went to the newly established Portage Youth Swim Team. Thank you to those of you that participated last year!
- NEW for this year is a Kids Aquathon (swim/run) on Friday evening
before the triathlon. More information to follow.

- Directions: Portage is about 35 minutes north of Madison.
- To find Silver Lake Beach take Highway 51 north through Portage. Turn left on Haertel Street (first
lights after the railroad tracks). Travel about three blocks west. Haertel merges
with Silver Lake Drive; turn right on to Silver Lake Drive. Travel about two blocks.
Silver Lake Park is on the the left.
