- More: This race is put on by the Houston Racing Triathlon Club (HRTC) and is the HRTC’s main resource for generating club funds. As a result, almost all of the volunteers are triathletes. While you will find triathlon veterans with years of racing experience at the event, the race has proven year after year to be a ‘newbie’ favorite for those looking for a quality race for their introduction to the triathlon experience.
