Kansas Wildlife and Parks permit required, day passes are available.
- Open water swim across State Park Cove, abundance of water patrol for your safety.
- Mountain bike course is single track, lots of quad-busting climbs with awesome descents.
- Run is held on both road and Dakota Nature Trail, hilly terrain. Nothing flat here.
- Individuals and Relay Teams welcome.

- Directions To Race: Lake Wilson is located five miles north of Interstate 70 between Salina and Hays.
- Follow Hwy 282 north 5 miles to the Wilson State Park entrance.
- Cross the bridge and stay on this road for approximately 2 miles, you will see a sign for Hell Creek State Park, turn right.
- This road will take you to the pay station for park passes and then on to the Wheatgrass camping/swimming area.
- After the pay station remain on the main road until the second turn-off to the left.
- This is the Wheatgrass Area where the start and finish line are located.
- There are lots of signs so as confusing as it may sound it is actually very easy to find.
