You will come up on a light at Main St. Just past this light is a Subway on your right side and an Exxon on your left side. Take a left at the first street just past the Exxon – Lake Rd / CR 486. Follow this road to Lavonia Park. Parking will be inside Lavonia Park. Participants will get a ticket for free entry to the park with your packet at packet pick up, but spectators will have to pay $1.

Participants will get a ticket for free entry to the park with your packet at packet pick up, but spectators will have to pay $1.

- SWIM: The open water swim section will take place in Canyon Lake
- BIKE: The trail is about 7 miles in length with lots of tight turns, some gentle climbing and some rocky sections. It crosses the main road on several occasions and also weaves through the many primitive campsites on the peninsula. The trail is not overly technical but it is not a fast ride either.
- RUN: The run course will hit the more technical portions of the trail, then head north along the shoreline of the lake. Be prepared for anything on the run course!

- Course Info: Half Ironman Distance Course (Note: The water temperature in Buffalo Springs Lake, on the average, is 70-74 degrees (even during the 113 degree day of 1994 the water temperature was never over 74 degrees). It is a spring fed lake so it stays cool; therefore, you should bring your wetsuits. USAT wetsuit rules apply: wetsuits are allowed with 78 degrees or cooler.)
- The Swim: A 1.2 mile open water lake swim. Wave starts (approximately 100 per wave), rectangular course counter clockwise, entry at beach area and exit on cement boat dock area, within 20 yards of the transition area. Swim cutoff time is 75 minutes.
- The Bike 56 miles, modified out and back, out of town farm to market roads, limited traffic, flat with 8 challenging hills, ranging from 8-13% grade and a quarter of a mile to 1.2 miles in length. These are good asphalt roads with some shoulders. ANSI approved helmets are required; No drafting allowed.
- The Run: 13.1 miles, asphalt, flat with 3 challenging hills, ranging from 10-14% (not the same hills as found on the bike course) grade. The hills are approximately 300 yards to 880 yards in length. Partially shaded, tough, scenic course. No non-participant pacing allowed. Course cut-off time is 8 hours.
