  • 500-yd pool siwm in a 25-yd indoor pool
  • 12-mile bike; one loop course over beautiful rooling county roads that surround Canby. Course is open to traffic.
  • 3-mile run, flat 2/3 on road, 1/3 on paved walking trail.
    More: The second annual Canby Telephone Association's Gator Grinder Triathlon is an excellent introduction for the first time triathlete, as well as a great early season event for the experiened racer. The race offers a beautiful course, increadible volunteers, and a great time. There will be road bike, mountain bike and relay divistions. The race is being run as a fund raiser for the Canby Gator Swim Club.
    Directions To Race: Take Hwy 99 into Canby. Turn east on Ivy st. (a 7/11 is on the corner). Pool is about 1 mile on the left.

  • Mountain Bike: Total distance is 11 Kilometers on a hilly gravel and dirt road/trail.
  • Run: Total distance is 5 Kilometers on an out-and-back course on a paved/gravel road.

  • (11-14): 150 yard swim, 1 mile bike ride on pavement, and a 1.0 mile run on a track.
  • (7-10): 100 yard swim, 1 mile bike ride on pavement, and a 0.5mile run on a track.

  • Bike 12.5 miles: A single out and back with rolling hills. The course is not closed to traffic.
  • Run 3.1 miles: The course is a flat, double out and back. Water is available on the course.
    Directions To Race: From I-5 take exit 228 onto Highway 34. Heading East on 34 turn right onto Denny School Road. Follow Denny School Road, it will turn into Airport. From Airport turn left onto 5th Street. Pool is inbetween the track and the High School.

  • The swim is a clean, clear, warm mountain reservoir with a simple triangulation.
  • The bike has 1.8 miles of packed gravel, and the rest is freshly paved road with small rollers.
  • The run is the same course as the bike, only circles in the opposite direction. Strong enough for a triathlete, but made for a runner.
    Directions To Race: From Portland OR, take I-84 East to the Dalles. Take Exit #87 to HWY 197 South 31 miles to Tygh Valley, turn right into Tygh Valley at yellow flashing light. Take Wamic Market Road into Wamic, go 4 miles, then turn right at Ross Road. Go 3.5 miles, and turn left into the campground.

  • Swim: one counter clockwise loop in Wickiup Reservoir(water temperature mid 60’s).
  • Bike: A scenic point-to-point challenging course traveling up and over Mt. Batchelor. Then its a 12.5-mile steep decent, followed by a final 4.4 miles of relatively flat. There are three aid stations on the bike.
  • Run: A mostly flat loop course on widely paved bike paths that traverse through and around this scenic destination resort (two hills total with a minimal elevation gain – aid stations every mile).
    More: The 10th Annual Pacific Crest is one of the most beautiful and scenic courses you will ever experience! The Half-Iron Triathlon will serve as the TRI NorthWest Long Course Championship and will offer PRIZE MONEY to the top champions (Half-Iron Triathlon only).

    Course Info: The Deschutes Dash is a sprint distance triathlon that loops through the historic Old Mill District and finishes in Bend’s outdoor amphitheater. Start with a unique down-current swim, 14-mile bike and 5K run to the cheers of spectators across the footbridges, along the river bank and inside the amphitheater. This event has something for everyone –perfect for novice and junior triathletes and as the Oregon qualifier for the “Best of the US” Amateur Series AND also USA Triathlon’s Sprint Distance “Grand Prix” event, competitive athletes will have their opportunity to shine. This event is all about the athlete - from the fantastic course to the fantastic post-race food and special “prime” awards for best overall swim, bike and run times.

    Course Info: The 5k run course is relatively flat covering country roads and streets on the south edge of Philomath. Both bike courses feature a good climb half way through, followed by an exciting descent. The road course follows smooth country roads, and the mountain bike course covers both paved and gravel roads, as well as abandoned dirt roads and trails. The shorter mountain course climbs 120 feet higher than the road course.
    Directions To Race: From I-5, follow Hwy 34 west through Corvallis to Philomath. Turn south (left) at the 19th street stoplight. Turn east (left) onto the school drive and go past the elementary school. The Philomath Middle school will be in front of you to your right. The transition area is on the south east side of the Middle School.
