Location: Wildwoods Convention Center

Course Info: The Doo Wop Duathlon course is very simple.

Run #1: From the Convention Center, athletes will run north .5 miles to the end of the boardwalk and make a U-Turn.

Athletes will then run south 1 mile, past the Convention Center, to the Douglas Fudge sign and make a U-Turn.

Athletes will run back to the Convention Center .5 miles and head directly into the transition area.

Bike: From the transition area, athletes will complete a 3 loop, 10 mile bike course.

Athletes will exit the transition area and head north (make a right out of the transition area).

Proceed north .4 miles to Schellenger Ave and make a U turn.

Head south on Ocean Ave 1.75 miles to Rambler Rd and make a U-Turn.

Proceed north 1.75 miles, past the convention center, back to Schellenger Ave., make U-Turn.

COMPLETE 3 Loops.

NOTE Once athletes have turned Rambler Rd for the 3rd time, they will make a right into the transition area. The Bike Course is NOT closed to traffic! Keep your head up! As with any other race, all athletes are expected to navigate the bike course with caution. Keep right and pass left. Wear a helmet. No drafting….and please, slow down at the turns.

Run #2: Same as Run #1.

More: Get ready to kick off the multisport season in Wildwood! The Doo Wop Duathlon is a race geared towards getting the cob webs out of our systems and preparing for the season ahead!

Directions To Race: The Wildwoods are easily accessible via the Garden State Parkway. There are only two main highways to travel: Route 55 and the Garden State Parkway. Most people are familiar with the area and know how to access these two roads.

The directions to the race were figured out using MapQuest. It will probably be better for you to do a search with MapQuest to match up your location with the race location.

From Atlantic City Expressway South: Take the SOUTH GARDEN STATE PARKWAY exit- EXIT 7S. 0.5 miles

Merge onto GARDEN STATE PKWY S (Portions toll). 33.1 miles

Take EXIT 4B- toward WILDWOOD / WILDWOOD CREST. Follow road into Wildwood.

Continue straight onto Rio Grande Ave (past WAWA, Commerce Bank etc)to the beach.

Turn LEFT onto OCEAN AVE. 0.1 miles

End at Wildwood Convention Center, 4500 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ 08260

Course Info: The Great Causeway Challenge course provides scenic views of the bay and wildlife preserves from Manahawkin to Barnegat Light and back! The Biathlon begins at 8 a.m. at Southern Regional High School with the bike ride along Hilliard Blvd, to Marsha Road, across the Route 72 Causeway Bridge, up Long Beach Blvd. to the Barnegat Light and back to Southern Regional High School where you will make the transition to the 10K run proceeding through the hills and dales of the beautiful residential areas of Stafford Twp., and back to the Finish Line at Southern Regional High School.

Course Info: The event is held in Bass River State Park. The swim is in the calm & clear waters of Absegami Lake with the start on a well maintained and clean beach area. It'll probably be one of your most enjoyable swims. The bike course is primarily right turns on country roads with wide shoulders. The run course is flat run with lots of shade and on the roads and paths of the campground area of the park. The spectators can hang out around the picnic tables and playground near the transition area.

The Swim event - This segment is timed separately and is added to your outside run/bike/run time. There will be a warm - up lane from 6:00AM until 7:30AM. Beginning at 7:30 the warm-up lane will open up to those that would double up and swim side by side. Otherwise one swimmer per lane, first-come, first-serve. When you are finished your 1/4 mile (16 laps), or 1/8 mile (8 laps for kids), you can use locker rooms, get changed and meet at the starting line at 9:00 AM. All swim times must be in by 8:00 AM.

The Run/ Bike/ Run - The 2 mile Run/16 mile Bike/2 mile Run event, or 1 mile run/8 mile bike/1 mile run for kids begins at 9:00 AM. The start will be at the south side parking lot of the Aquatic & Fitness Center. It is suggested to rack your bike and get your equipment (YOU MUST WEAR A BIKE HELMENT) ready prior to this segment but not before you complete your swim. More people will be around at this time and nothing will be left unattended. Water will be available on both runs. It is advised to have your own water on your bike, if possible. Your race number must be worn and cross the finish line with you.

Your swim time and run/bike/run time will be added together at this time for the final results.

Course Info: 1/2 mile swim/16.4 mile bike/5 K run

Swim: Randolph Township Lake, pristine crystal clear quarry lake, 1/2 mile swim. Shore line is sandy. Short, uphill run distance to transition area on grassy surface.

Bike: 16.4 mile ride on scenic, paved roads through Randolph and Chester. Some rolling hills through magnificent valleys, one challenging but short climb. First and last 70 meters on dirt/gravel.

Run: 5K Cross Country style course, half trails through shady woods and half roads in quiet, residential area. Mostly flat, some very short rolling hills.

This event will follow the same course as the Y-Tri of prior years. Paramount Adventure, a local multisport training and racing club, will be organizing the event this year (with consultation from prior year Y-Tri race directors).

Course Info: The race will take place at beautiful Mercer County Park, located in the heart of New Jersey, half way between Philadelphia and New York City. It has been selected not only because of its proximity to many Triathlon markets but so we could offer top quality organization and amenities in a great location.

Olympic 1.5 K swim; 40K bike; 10K run

Sprint 500m swim; 12.5mile bike; 5Krun

The swim will be in beautiful and calm Mercer Lake.

The bike course will exit the park and do a flat and scenic 12.5 mile loop. Sprint distance athletes will complete one loop and Olympic distance will do two loops.

Both run courses will follow a course that was laid out for the US Cross Country Championships and are flat, fast and offer plenty of shade.
