Heatwave Classic Triathlon
- Swim ½ mile, Bike 24½ miles, Run 6.2 miles
- Location: Ross Barnett Reservoir
- Course Info: The race will consist of a ½ mile swim in the Ross Barnett Reservoir, a 24.5 mile bike ride along the scenic and historic Natchez Trace Parkway,and ending with a 10K run along Ridgeland's heavily shaded Multi-Use Trail.
- Directions To Race: To arrive at the Ridgeland Recreational Center (Race Headquarters)…..
- •I-55 approaching from the North (Grenada, Memphis, St. Louis), take Exit 105B Ridgeland.
- •I-55 approaching from the South (Brookhaven, McComb, New Orleans), take Exit 105 B Ridgeland.
- •I-20 approaching from the East (Meridian, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham), take I-55 North toward Memphis and then exit at Exit 105B Ridgeland.
- •I-20 approaching from the West (Vicksburg, Monroe, Dallas), take I-55 North toward Memphis and then exit at Exit 105B Ridgeland.
- •Natchez Trace Parkway approaching from the North (Kosciusko, Tupelo, Nashville), take the Ridgeland Exit at Craft Center (little wooden house) . Stay on exit road and it will intersect Rice Road. Turn left on Rice Road and travel approximately 2.8 miles to Post Road.
- Use these directions when you reach the Ridgeland Exit::
- •Exit and go East on Jackson Street. Turn right at the first red light (Hwy 51). You will be headed South on U.S. Highway 51. Turn left at the second red light (Rice Road). Travel approximately 2.9 miles to the intersection of Post Road and Rice Road. Turn right on Post Road and enter Old Trace Park. The Ridgeland Recreational Center is located at Old Trace Park.

The DragonFlyTri starts with a 1/2 mile swim in the lower lake at Sardis Lake, Bike is out and back, completely flat except for one hill, then a 4 mile run.

- Location: Tombigbee State Park, Tupelo, MS

- Swim will be a .5 mile Lake Swim at Tombigbee Stae Park.
- Bike 22 miles in the surrounding are with some rolling hills and flat fast sections.
- Run 3.1 miles in the State Park in an out and back with shade.
- More: This is a first year race and will be limited to the first 250 registrants.
- All racers will receive a Cool Max T-Shirt

Saturday August 26, 2006 ::: Hazlehurst, Mississippi
: 4th Annual Totem Pole Off-Road Challenge
- Swim ¼ mile, Mountain Bike 14 miles, Run 3.2 miles
- Location: Warren A. Hood Scout Reservation
- Course Info: The swim portion starts at the camp boat dock and is laid out in a triangle pattern which brings the swimmers back to the boat dock and transition point. The bike portion requires a mountain or trail bike and is two full loops around the camp lake on dirt roads, logging roads, hiking trails with both flat and hilly sections. The run portion is through the woods on well marked trails that are mostly flat with very few hills.
- Directions To Race: Hazlehurst is located 40 miles south of Jackson on I-55. Once to Hazlehurst take exit 61 to Hwy 28 west. Travel approx. 2.5 miles on Hwy 28 west before turning right onto Old Port Gibson Rd. Camp Warren A. Hood will be approx. 9.3 miles on the right. After arriving to the camp, follow the camp road to the check-in area and parking lot which will be approximatly 1 mile.
- More: There will be a spaghetti dinner on Friday, August 25th, in the dinning hall at Camp Hood, where participants can pick up their race prerace packets and make sure that all information is correct and complete. The cost is $5.00 a person. Also, participants are welcome to stay at the host hotel in Hazlehurst or they may stay at Camp Hood in a primitive cabin or in tents.

- The swim will be a 1/4 mile. The location is a beautiful privately owned lake. There will be a 5 second staggered start.
- The bike course is 17 miles of rolling hills ending up at the church.
- The run is a 5K out and back.

- Duathlon :: Bike 13.1 miles, Run 6.2 miles
- Runs : 1/2 Marathon, 10K and 5K
- Location: Columbus Air Force Base Fitness Center

- All courses will be traffic-controlled and have water stations.
- Duathlon will consist of a 13.1 mile ride on unimproved gravel road and the flight line, then a 10K trail run.
- 1/2 Marathon: Course is eight miles on the perimeter road and five miles will be run on the flight line.
- 10 K will be a trail run.
- 5 K will be run on paved road.
- More:Parking is available directly behind the Columbus AFB Fitness Center, off “D Street.”
- Directions To Race: Please have ID available at front gate
- From Tuscaloosa: Take Hwy 82 W to Hwy 45 N. Follow Hwy 45N for 7.5 miles. Turn left on to Hwy 786. Follow for 3/4 mile, this will take you to the front gate.
- From Tupelo: Take Hwy 45 S to Hwy 786. Turn right. Follow for 3/4 mile, this will take you to the front gate.
- From Starkville: Take Hwy 82 E to Hwy 45 N (Aberdeen exit). Follow Hwy 45 N for 7.5 miles. Turn left on Hwy 786. Follow for 3/4 mile, you will be at the front gate to the base.
