    Course Info: The race start and transition will be at the west end of Edgewater Park. The race will begin with a .5 mile open water lake swim in Edgewater Lake. Participants will then transition to a 19.8 mile bike through Albert Lea area country side, fairly flat with some rolling hills, mostly on newly paved roads. Racers will then transition for a 4.2 mile run along scenic Edgewater and Fountain Lake, fairly flat and fast course with minimal traffic.

    Course Info: The majority of the course will be located on the Chippewa National Forest and will be a semi-wilderness experience. It is not an easy event and you can expect road hazards on the bike trail.
    Directions To Race: The race headquarters is at the Cass Lake Elementary School at 4th St. NE and Maple Ave. The canoe leg will start at the MN DOT Wayside Rest on the SW shore of Cass Lake, US 2 East.

  • The race will begin in Lester Park with a 3.1 mile trail run taking racers under ancient towering pines and past waterfalls.
  • Athletes then transition in the park's large paved parking lot for a 20.4 mile road bike.
  • Finish with a 3.3 mile trail run.
  • Professional chip timing along with experienced race directors will make this a race you will not want to miss!
    Directions To Race: Race starts/finishes at Lester Park at the corner of E Superior Street and Lester River Rd.

    Location: Young Life Castaway Club's Sail beach
    Course Info: The swim goes along the bank of Castaway Club in 5ft water. Spectators can watch from bank to see race unfold. The bike begins with rolling hills, including a climb through the center of camp. It finishes with a long,flat sprint to camp. The 5 mile run goes along Pelican Lake and concludes at Castaway's beach.
