PolarBear Tri/Duathlon
- Triathlon ::: Swim 525 yards, Bike 12 miles, Run 3 miles
- Duathlon :: Run 2 miles, Bike 12 miles, Run 3 miles
- Location: Farley Fieldhouse, Bowdoin College
- Course Info: Pool Swim, Bike loop on country roads, ocean views, rolling terrain; Run off-road, flat, dirt and grass course
- Pool swim 525 yards (21 lengths) with wave starts (approx 30 athletes per wave).
- Bike: 12 mile loop course with rolling/flat terrain and ocean views on low traffic country roads.
- Run: 3 mile off and on road course. Wide trails and quiet neighborhood streets. to be a true 3 mile run.
- Duathlon: First 2 mile run - will be a shortened version of the second run, with only half a lap of the trail. The bike, run, and transition will be the same as the triathlon.
- More: There will be an awards ceremony and raffle, plenty of food and drink, massage available to all athletes, music, and a BBQ (weather permitting). It is a fun, festive atmosphere for the whole family. Stick around, enjoy the expo, and hang out with your fellow triathletes. It is the perfect way to kick off the 2007 season!

- Course Info: The Pine Tree Triathlon is a sprint distance race. The swim will be an out and back 1/2 mile swim at the Brewer Lake public boat landing. Next, a challenging 12 mile bike ride through Orrington. Expect some challenging hills. The run will be 3.1 miles starting and finishing at Pendleton Track in Brewer. There will be shuttles between the start and the finish.

- The event starts with a 1K loop swim at the Bethel Inn Lakehouse on Songo Pond (3 miles south of Bethel on Rt.5).
- Then you bicycle 25K -- down scenic Route 5 back to downtown historic Bethel.
- You finish with a run through soccer fields and on the well-maintained wooded cross-country trails at Gould Academy for a 5K run to the finish.

- Directions To Race: The race is in Bethel, not at the check-in location. Bethel, Maine is located at the intersections of Routes 2, 26, & 5. TO DRIVE from Summit Hotel to Gould Academy's fieldhouse, the bike/run transition zone, turn right out of Summit on Skiway Rd., bear right onto Sunday River Rd. Continue to Rt. 2. Turn rt. = Rt. 2 West. Continue on 2 W over river, through flashing light (Rite Aid Pharmacy on rt.), over overpass and take first exit to right. This exit curls right, going back under the overpass. Take first right-Church St., blue sign says, "Gould Academy."
- Directions to Grand Summit Hotel at Sunday River Ski Resort: From Bethel, where Routes 2 & 26 merge, go 2.5 miles north on Rt. 26 (which is also Rt. 2 east). Turn left onto the Sunday River Road at the SR Brewing Co. (signs for SR Ski Resort). Go 2.5 miles and bear left onto Skiway Road. Less than .5 mile, watch for Grand Summit Hotel sign/driveway on left.

Portland Triathlon and Urban Festival

- Location: Two Casco Bay Lines ferries in outer Portland Harbor

- Swim Course: The Portland Triathlon will start from the decks of two Casco Bay Lines Ferries anchored at Fort Gorges. Athletes will jump from the deck of the boats and finish 1 mile away at East End Beach, completing one of the most spectacular swims in the world.
- Bike Course: Athletes will get the chance to ride a course unavailable at any other time - from downtown Portland, over Tukey's Bridge (I-295), and north up the coast. The 40k bike will be an out-and-back on rolling, country roads. T2 will take place in the same warehouse as T1.
- Run Course: To cap off this memorable event, athletes will run the entire 10k lollipop on the Eastern Prom Trail and the Back Cove Path. The course is literally on the ocean from start to finish!

- From the South: Take 95 North and get off at Exit 17 (Yarmouth/Freeport Exit) At the exit ramp take Route One North. You will pass the Muddy Rudder Restaurant, Freeport Inn and Cafe on your right. At the top of the hill after the Freeport Inn, take a right onto South Freeport Road (if you pass the Big Indian, you've gone too far). Take a right onto Staples Point Road (there is a wooden sign for Winslow Park at the corner of South Freeport Road and Staples Point Road) Stay on Staples Point Road all the way to the end of the peninsula and you will come into Winslow Park.
- From the North: Take 95 South and get off at Exit 19. Take a left at the end of the exit ramp. At the first traffic light after the overpass take a right onto Route One South. Stay on Route One South until you come to South Freeport Road. Take a left onto South Freeport Road (at the Big Indian) Take a right onto Staples Point Road (there is a wooden sign for Winslow Park at the corner of South Freeport Road and Staples Point Road) Stay on Staples Point Road all the way to the end of the peninsula and you will come into Winslow Park.
