Location: Rock Cut State Park -- Olson Lake Beach

Course Info: The race is entirely within Rock Cut State Park. It begins with a 2-mile trail run, followed by a 14-mile bike on the paved roads circling Pierce Lake, and is completed by a 3-mile trail run finishing at the Olson Lake Beach area. Both the 2-mile and 3-mile trail runs will be held on the wide, grassy trails surrounding Olson Lake. The 14-mile bike will be held entirely on the paved roads in the Pierce Lake area of Rock Cut Park. Be prepared for some climbing as the road circling Pierce Lake includes several short climbs and descents.

Directions To Race: The race will be held on the trails and roads inside beautiful Rock Cut State Park, which is located near the intersection of I-39/90 and Riverside, in Rockford, IL.

Course Info: Swim 150 yards in the FitClub South Lap Pool. The 5-mile bike course is an out-and-back course on fairly flat and smooth roads. All participants are required to wear fastened SNELL or ANSI approved helmets. The 1.3 mile run is a loop through the Southern View Park on a smooth, flat course.

Location: Nixon Beach, Apple Canyon Lake, IL

Course Info: (Sprint Distance Triathlon and Duathlon)

For triathletes, the event begins with a swim in the clear, cool waters of Apple Canyon Lake with a beach start and finish. The swim-to-bike transition is adjacent to the beach. Duathletes begin with a 2-mile run.

The second leg of the race is a breathtakingly beautiful 16.8-mile bike on the hilly and winding country roads of Jo Daviess County. The second transition area is located in Recreation Park on the outskirts of Galena.

The final leg is a 4.3-mile run, which winds up and down the picturesque lanes and roadways. The finish line is located in Recreation Park, the site of the post race party.

Coming from Missouri: Take Hwy 64E to exit 9 go left on Hwy 157, proceed 1/2 mile turn right on Bunkum Road. 1 1/2 miles make a left onto Pleasant Ridge Road. Park is 2/3 mile down on left.

From Illinois: Going North on Hwy 159, go 1 mile north of St. Clair Square Mall, turn left onto East O'Fallon Drive, go 1.1 mile then left onto Pleasant Ridge Road, 1/2 mile make right into Park.

The ride is a 20 mile loop with 6 lung scorching climbs, +40 MPH down hills and flats to hammer. Well marked course with signs and arrows, volunteers at busy corners to signal traffic.
