    Location: Tradewinds Park, 3600 W. Sample Rd, 33073
    Course Info: Tradewinds Park is a beautiful park to host our event. The entire event will take place inside the park, so we have a closed course with no traffic. The start/transition area will be the first parking lot on the left as you enter the south entrance to the park.
  • The swim course starts half way down the lake on the south side of the park. The lake edge curves allowing a straight view across the lake to the boat rental house. Swimmers will start at that point and swim straight across to the left side of the boat rental house. The water is very clean and flat (no waves!). There is a dirt lead in and out of the water, so no wading through seaweed! After the swim, participants will make a short run across the street to the transition area.
  • The bike course runs north under Sample road to the northern end of the park. From there it heads west, then back south again until it reaches the north park entrance. There riders will make a U-turn and head back the way they came. The bike course is 5 miles and we will do 2 laps.
  • The run course goes north along the main park road to the entrance, then U-turns south to the end of the road where runners will take a short jog through the woods on a paved path and return to the main park road going northbound to the finish.

    Location: Camp Blanding Military Reservation - Kingsley Lake
    Course Info: The course will be entirely on Camp Blanding. (1.5km S/40km B/10km R)
  • The swim will take place in Kingsley Lake, a clear, freshwater lake with a mostly sandy bottom.
  • The bike course is 2 loops and is entirely within Camp Blanding so there is minimal vehicular traffic. There are a few rolly-polly hills.
  • The run is a flat out and back with little shade (thus the H.O.T.) but plenty of aid stations.

    Directions: Camp Blanding lies about 30 miles southwest of Jacksonville, between Jacksonville and Gainesville.
  • From Jacksonville beaches: Take JTB west to 95 south to 285 North. Go over the Buckman Bridge and take the 2nd exit, Blanding BLVD. (State Road 21)South. Drive through Orange Park and through Middleburg. Take a right onto County Road 215. Continue on County Road 215 and then take a right onto State Road 16. Go approx. .6 miles and turn left into the main gate. Then just follow the signs for parking and race venue for another mile.
  • From Gainesville: Take SR 24 east to Waldo. Turn North on 301. Take 301 to Starke. Turn Right onto SR 16. Go east on SR 16 to the main gate and follow the signs.
  • From Tallahassee: Go eas on I-10 to 301. Turn south on 301 to Lawtey (watch your Speed). Turn left onto CR 225. Turn left onto SR 16. Go East on SR 16 and then turn right at the main gate and follow the signs.

    Adventure Race -. Two-person teams and three-person teams

    Course Info: The BEAR takes place in and around Hanna Park, Atlantic Beach, Florida -- A great multisport adventure and a great celebration of achievement. Two-person and three-person teams compete together to complete each segment of the course, crossing the finish line as a team. The order and distance of each leg is not revealed until the race itself and mystery tests are just that -- mysteries until teams reach them. The BEAR is a test of teamwork, camaraderie, clear thinking, willpower, and determination under pressure -- open to everyone: accomplished athletes, those serious about their fitness, and even weekend warriors. There are no pre-qualifications. Athletes of all experience and fitness levels are encouraged to participate.     Sprint ::: Swim ¼ mile, Bike 14 miles, Run 3.3 miles
    Location: CB Smith Park, 900 N. Flamingo Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33028
    Course Info: This triathlon features a .25 mile swim, followed by a 11 mile bike with no road crossings and an entire lane closed to traffic, then finishes with a 3.3 mile closed course run. The bike course starts around the outer lane of the street inside the park and exits south on Flamingo to Pines. Riders will head west on Pines to the first right turn and continue staying on the right as they circle around the outside of the park. We turn right at all intersections and all roads have 2 or more lanes, so the course is extremely safe even though it goes outside of the park. The bike course is 5.5 miles and we will do 2 laps. The run course goes along the inner lane of the street around the lake. There will be 2 laps here as well to make 3.3 miles.

  • The .7 Mile/ 1.1 K Swim starts on Escape Island and heads back to Miami in the open waters of Biscayne Bay near American Airlines Arena. Land ashore at Margaret Pace Park and head to the transition as hundreds of fans cheer you on.
  • The 24.8 Mile/ 40 K Bike takes you over the ocean on a straightaway into Miami Beach. The two lap course provides you with a challenge as you climb two causeways while remaining within view of Escape Island. Ride through Miami’s revamped Arts District and past some of Miami Beach’s well known mansions.
  • The 6.2 Mile/ 10 K Run takes you over the MacArthur Causeway, running along massive cruise ships and mansions as you finish the final leg of the race in Downtown Miami. As you complete your run over the bridge, you will have one last glimpse of where it all started, Escape Island.
    More: The Escape to Miami Triathlon boasts the most unique and challenging course in Florida, and some might say the country. The first triathlon in South Florida’s history to abandon athletes on an island has become a national phenomenon!
