Location: Markham Park, 16001 W. State Rd. 84, Sunrise, FL 33326
Course Info: This is a scenic course that runs through the park and around the lakes.

Directions To Race: Take I-75 to the Arvida Parkway exit. Turn right at the first stoplight (Weston Road). Continue on Weston Road until it ends at Markham Park.

Course Info: Very unique 8 by 50 meter lap swim in heated pool. Flat bike and run.

Sunday, February 12, 2006 :: Coconut Creek, Florida: Couples Valentines Duathlon
Run 2 miles, Bike 10 miles, Run 2 miles
Location: Tradewinds Park, 3600 W. Sample Rd, Coconut Creek, FL 33073
Course Info: The entire event will take place inside the park, so we have a closed course with no traffic. The start/transition area will be the first parking lot on the left as you enter the south entrance to the park. The run course goes south along the main park road to the circular turnaround and back. The bike course runs north under Sample road to the northern end of the park. From there it heads west, then back south again until it reaches the north park entrance. There riders will make a U-turn and head back the way they came. The bike course is 5 miles and we will do 2 laps.

Directions To Race: Take the Florida Turnpike to Sample Road, then go west. At the first stoplight, turn left into Tradewinds Park (South Entrance).

Sunday, March 19, 2006 :: Pembroke Pines, Florida: St Patty's Duathlon
Run 1.65 miles, Bike 11 miles, Run 1.65 miles
Location: CB Smith Park, 900 N. Flamingo Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33028
Course Info: The run course goes along the inner lane of the street around the lake inside of the park. The bike course starts around the outer lane of the street inside the park and exits south on Flamingo to Pines. Riders will head west on Pines to the first right turn and continue staying on the right as they circle around the outside of the park. We turn right at all intersections and all roads have 2 or more lanes, so the course is extremely safe even though it goes outside of the park. Once riders reach the entrance of the park, they turn right to enter the park and make a loop around the outer lane of the street inside the park. The bike course is 5.5 miles and we will do 2 laps that consist of an outside loop and an inside loop.

Directions To Race: Take I-75 to the Pines Boulevard exit. Go east 2 stoplights to Flamingo. Turn left on Flamingo. The entrance to CB Smith Park will be on your left.

Swim 1/3 mile, Bike 16 miles, Run 3.2
Location: Maclay Gardens State Park
Course Info: 1/3 mile swim in chilly spring fed Lake Hall • 16 mile bike on the Red Hills, traveling over some of Tallahassee's most challenging hills. The bike course will have some changes in 2005 due to construction • A short distance into the run you will leave pavement and finish on the trails for a total of 3.2 miles.

Swim ¼ mile, Run 3.1 miles, Bike 14.6 miles
Location: YMCA Camp Winona
Course Info: Begins 8AM with 1/4 mile swim in Lake Winona; followed by a 3.1 mile run over country roads and concludes with a 14.6 mile cycle segment through rural DeLeon Springs
  • Wet suits will be permitted although water temp is expected to be about 74
    Directions To Race: To YMCA Camp Winona
  • FROM I-95: take Exit 268: Rt.40 West from Ormond Beach 17 miles to Lake Winona Road [signs on road]; 2.5 miles to camp entrance.
  • FROM I-4: take Exit 114 (Rt.472) to DeLand on US 17-92; turn left on 15A for 7 miles to US 17. Left on 17, past DeLeon Springs, to Lake Winona Road [signs on road] 3 miles to camp entrance.
