Windman Triathlons VII semi-annual
- Half-Ironman, Olympic and Sprint (= 1/2 Olympic)
- Location: Los Banos Creek State Park, End Canyon Rd (south I-5 &152)

- Course Info: Event limited to 501 entries. Clean warm water, clean air, no traffic and no crowd.
- Half-Ironman: SWIM ( 1.2 miles)..... 3 loops triangle course in the fresh, clean and warm water of the Los Banos reservoir recreation area.
- BIKE ( 56 miles)......in 3 loops out and back on well paved roads, almost no traffic . Steep 1/4 mile down- then uphill climb ends with a left turn to Canyon Road for another mile of down-hill long grade viewing the big valley. After crossing I-5 overpass and the irrigation canal it is all FLAT LOOPS (clock-wise) around the green fields of the countryside.
- RUN (13.1 miles) 4 loops .....run on pavement to enter running trails on plateau overlooking reservoir. Water stations will be posted along the running course.
- Olympic 0.9 mile SWIM, only one BIKE-loop and 2 RUN loops.
- Sprint = 1/2 Olympic.
- Directions To Race: From Bay Area, Coast and L.A. at I-5 and 152 go east to Los Banos. Turn right on Volta Road, left on Pioneer, right on Canyon to end. Turn right to camping- and Park area down-hill.

- Course Info: The Fleet Feet Sports Sacramento Golden State Triathlon is a sprint distance criterium-style triathlon. The swim is in the American River. The bike course is a three-lap, draft legal, closed bike course. The run is on the famous American River Bike Trail. Stay after the race for the awards ceremony, giant raffle give-away, hot food, free kid's play area and free Beer Garden.
- Directions To Race: Discovery Park is located off Interstate 5 between Highway 50 and Interstate 80. From I-5 exit on Garden Highway. Go left on the Garden Highway and turn right into Discovery Park entrance. There is a $4 parking fee.

Catalina Island Triathlon
- Sprint ::: Swim ½ mile, Bike 10 miles, Run 3.1 miles
- Location: Avalon Bay, finishing adjacent to the pier - Avalon, CA - on Catalina Island
- Course Info: Sprint Distance Triathlon
- An out-and back swim in the calm blue waters of Avalon Bay, finishing adjacent to the pier. Out on the left side of the pier (as you are facing the water standing on the beach) and back on the right side of the pier.
- Cycle: 16 kilometers (10 miles). Three challenging loops past the Wrigley Mansion (now the Inn on Mt. Ada). Finish along the waterfront. You go up Lower Terrace and descend down past the Inn on Mt. Ada (counter clockwise). Note---you must take caution on the downhill. It is steep and the roads are not in perfect condition. Slow down when necessary!!
- Run: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). A beautiful 5k out and back course past the golf course. Downhill on the way back.
- More: Boat fare over to the Island is not included in the entry fee, You can make your arrangements to get over to the Island on Catalina Express out of San Pedro, Long Beach or Dana Point, the Catalina Flyer out of Newport Beach, or the Catalina-Marina Del Rey Flyer out of Marina Del Rey near LAX.
- Directions To Race: if you need information on anything about travel, hotel or the island in general, check out the Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau: 310.510.1520. They can tell you hotels that have vacancies at the time you call. You can also check vacancies online on their web site.
