Course Info: The race is a challenging sprint distance race that begins and ends at Chugiak High School in scenic Eagle River, Alaska. The race consists of a 500 yd swim, 12.2 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. We look forward to seeing you on race day!

Saturday, June 24, 2006 Big Lake, Alaska: Big Lake Triathlon

Swim 900 meters, Bike 12.4 miles, Run 3.1 miles

Location: North Shore Wayside

Course Info: Swim is out and back in Big Lake, wetsuit recommended. Bike is a loop on paved roads. Run a flat out and back on paved path.

Directions To Race: Take Parks Highway to Big Lake turnoff, at the Y stay right on North Shore Drive and follow it to the end of the road, which is the North Shore Wayside Recreational Area.

Also: Parking is limited at the start, and there is a $5 fee for parking. There is a shuttle bus from the finish to the start. Plenty of free parking at the finish.

Course Info: The challenging and beautiful race course includes

1000 yard swim at the Kate Kuhns Aquatic Center

15 mile bike from pool up East Hill to Skyline Drive down West Hill and out to the Fishing Hole on the Homer Spit (Helmets will be required for the Bike portion of the race.)

5 mile run from the Fishing Hole to the Homer High School parking lot

Open to all ages. This will be an individual Only Triathlon. There are no teams!

Saturday December 09, 2006 ::: Palmer, Alaska: Colony Christmas Triathlon

Bike 10 miles, Run 3 miles, Swim 500 yards

Start Time: 11:00 AM

Location: Peak Fitness Gym on Palmer-Wasilla Highway

Course Info:

Bike around Palmer; fat tires recommended due to snow and ice.

Run on flat pavement.

Swim 10 laps in Palmer High School pool.

More: Enjoy other Colony Christmas events during the day such as the train ride from Anchorage, sleigh rides, gingerbread house contest, crafts fair, downtown merchants.

Directions To Race: Glenn Highway to Palmer Wasilla Highway. Peak Fitness is located at the corner of Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Hemmer Road, approximately 1 mile from downtown Palmer.
