Location: Edgewater Park

Course Info: The race start and transition will be at the west end of Edgewater Park. The race will begin with a .5 mile open water lake swim in Edgewater Lake. Participants will then transition to a 19.8 mile bike through Albert Lea area country side, fairly flat with some rolling hills, mostly on newly paved roads. Racers will then transition for a 4.2 mile run along scenic Edgewater and Fountain Lake, fairly flat and fast course with minimal traffic.

Course Info: A new Olympic distance course was added this year 1.5K(.9 mile) swim, 40K(24.8 mile) bike, 10K(6.2mile) run , a good early season warmup for those competing in the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon later in the summer. Athletes swim in Buffalo Lake, and bike past 9 different lakes on a scenic ride through rolling farmland in Wright County, finishing with a run along the shores of Buffalo Lake. The race, having filled to capacity early in '04, was expanded to a maximum of 800 in '05.

Course Info: The race will start from the sandy beaches of Lake Independence with a 1.5k swim in the lakes clear water. Participants will exit the water and traverse a short grassy stretch to the transition area where they will mount their bikes for a challenging and scenic out and back 40k ride through Baker Park Reserve and onto the rolling hills of the surrounding Independence and Maple Plain communities. The race commences with a 10k paved trail run weaving through the wetlands of the Baker Park Reserve and Lake Katrina.
