Location: Little Turtle State Recreation Area at the J. Edward Roush Lake in Huntington, Indiana
Course Info: The transition area will be at the beach parking lot.
  • A large part of the run will be on the Kekionga Trail. If you know The HUFF 50K Trail Run you know the trail.
  • The biking portions will be onto Highway 5, proceeding north across US 224 (Hwy 5 then become Broadway: turn left at the four-way stop. Riders will then head east on county roads. The bulk of the bicycle course will be north of US 224 on gently rolling terrain.

    Course Info: The duathlon consists of two sport activities: trail running and paddling. Participants can choose whether to enter solo or as a two-person team. The course is as follows:
  • 1/2 Mile (approx.) trail run.
  • Mile Canoe/Kayak Race This paddle starts and ends at St. Pat's Park. Paddlers head upstream (south) to the first bridge (Auten Rd.) and then downstream (north) back to St. Pat's. Paddlers pull their boat upshore and take off running....
  • Mile (approximately) Trail Run immediately following the paddle race. A printable map of the trail run course can be found here.
    Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the following participant divisions:

    More: The canoe/kayak segment can be completed in a canoe or a kayak. A limited number of two-person aluminum canoes are available for those who do not have their own boats.
  • Important: A team's time will be its canoe/kayak race time added to its 2 trail running times--both team members must cross the finish line together!
  • Register early to ensure a canoe, if needed!
  • Other paddling events will be held at Paddlefest for all skill levels and all ages, including children!
    Directions To Race: St. Patrick County Park is located on Laurel Rd. on the northwest side of South Bend, IN, just south of the Michigan border.
  • Coming from Chicago or Points East: Take the Indiana Toll Road (I-80) to Exit 77. Exit North in the direction of Niles, Michigan, on Indiana State Road 933 (formerly US 31/33 Business). This road is M51 in Michigan. Go north for approximately 2.5 miles to Auten Road. Turn West (left) onto Auten Road. Proceed west for approximately 1 mile to Laurel Road. Turn North (right) on Laurel Road. Proceed north for approximately 1.5 miles to the entrance to St. Patrick's County Park.

The bike will be down the east side of lake out and back and finish at the Naval Building where athletes will transition for the 3.1 mile run around Culver Academies property finishing between the Naval Building and Black Horse Troop Facilities.

    Course Info: Swim is in the Hurshtown Reservoir. Bike is 40K in Amish Country and flat. Run is around the perimeter of the Reservoir along the bike path that is elevated 10-20 feet above the surrounding Amish farms. The run is off road, very flat except for a loop down and up a steep hill for a challenge.
    Directions To Race: Take I-69 to DuPont Rd. exit north of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Head East/North on Indiana Rte. 1, turn right onto Grabill Road and head into Grabill, IN. Go through town, over railroad tracks and and turn left onto Hurshtown Road and go about 1.5 miles and the Reservoir will be on your left.

    Course Info: What a race>> The Cannon that will be brought from the INDIANA National Guard Will Start the 18th annual Pepsi Y-Tri. This Year we want as many Triathletes as we can get. The Elite Wave will start each race than 5 minutes later each athlete will start every 3 seconds.
  • The Sprint Race is the INDIANA Qualifer of the Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Competition for 2005

  • From Muncie: Head east on 12th Street- Memorial- Turning right on Burlington. Take Burlington south and then turn left on Inlow Springs road. Follow the signs for Prairie Creek and then turn right at the second stop sign. The Beach parking lot will be on your right. Body Marking and Check-in will be at the first Pavilion.
  • From Indy: From I-69 north, turn right on SR67 and follow it east until the Muncie By-Pass. Take SR 35 south to Richmond exit and then turn left onto Co. Rd. 650. Follow 650 until Rd. 565 and then turn left. The Beach parking lot will be on your left. Body marketing and Check-in will be at the first Pavilion.

    Location: Harmonie State Park
    Course Info: Swim will be in the State Park pool, the bike portion will be mostly on paved road, the run is on prechecked park trails. Some hills are included in the run and the bike event.
    Directions To Race: From I 64, take the Griffin exit to State Road 69. A bypass goes around New Harmony. Stay on the bypass/SR69 to the signs for Harmonie State Park. Turn left onto Harmonie Parkway and continue to the Park gate. Entrance fee is minimal per car. Continue to the Swimming pool where the event begins and bikes are to be readied.

    Location: Raineybrook Bay, Lafayette
    Course Info:
  • Swim: The swim takes place in beautiful Raineybrook bay in the southern border of Lafayette, Indiana. The swim is a smooth, clean, and clear water course that takes athletes on a long but fun loop. Water temperature is typically 72 degrees. Wetsuits are legal!
  • Bike: The bike takes athletes on the rolling hills of Tippecanoe County. The course stays in Tippecanoe County and also travels through its beautiful farm land. Expect windy conditions in this midwest city. Directional arrows provide ease when riding the course.
  • Run: The final stage of the race is an amazing run that takes athletes around Raineybrook Bay and through an exciting loop that extends into a housing development. The run itself is two loops and ends near the transition area. Plenty of volunteers provide a smooth race with help while you are on the course.
