Location: 11200 Brady Street (2 blocks west off U.S. 67 [Brady St] ½ mile north of I-80
Course Info: Both runs are flat, inside an industrial park closed to traffic. Bike is loop course going into Eldridge and back. bike course is fairly flat with one rolling section. Road surface is mostly excellent with some good sections. Winds are likely to be a factor in May.

Location: Lake Killdeer
Course Info: The course is an out-and-back triangle swim from Lake Killdeer Jetty. Boats and safety personnel will be on the lake at all times. Wetsuits will be allowed, as per USA Triathlon rules. Our challenging 15 mile bike course takes you through lightly traveled rolling roads. The 5K (3.1 mile) run is flat and fast. It will leave from the Dewitt High School and skirt the outer residential area of Dewitt.
Directions To Race: Dewitt is at the crossroads of highway 61 and highway 30. Most will take 61 north from Interstate 80. The race is 20 miles north of the Quad Cities and 15 miles west of Clinton IA

    Course Info: The swim will take place in the competition pool (ISU - Beyer Hall)while tranisitions for the bike and run will be set up across the street in front of the Black Engineering building. The course is layed out on campus streets and bike paths of Iowa State University, with the finish at the Universities famed Campanile (Bell Tower).
    More: First Annual Youth Triathlon Hosted By: Ames Area Triathlon or Multi-sport Club (AToMC) and Ames Iowa State University YMCA.
  • This youth triathlon is open to male and female youth ages 7-14.
  • All participants will receive a participation with a t-shirt and items from local sponsors. All participants who complete the race will receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket.
  • Pre-race clinics are available free of charge to all participants. Thursday, 8/11 evening, Friday, 8/12 evening.
  • This is a USAT sanctioned event.
    Directions To Race From Minneapolis,MN (North): I-35 South,Exit 113, travel West for @ 3.5 miles, turn left at Stange Road, travel through one traffic light, at 2nd traffic light (campus) turn right. Travel to stop sign (Armory/Campus Police on left), turn left at stop sign, travel through 2 stop signs look to right and Beyer will be off to your right after the 2nd stop sign.
    Directions To Race Travelling from the South:: I-35 North, Exit 110 (Highway 30 West), the sign reads ISU campus; Travelling west, 2nd exit reads, Elwood Drive, on the right. At the exit light, turn right, Reiman Gardens will be on your left as you travel North. Keep travelling to Lincolnway, Campus stadium will be past and the athletic colisuem Hilton will be at the corner. Turn left, travel 3 miles to Sheldon Avenue, turn right, 2 blocks, turn right on Union Drive, Beyer will be a half block on left.

    Course Info: The IronCop Triathlon is a charity event. The proceeds of this year’s event have been pledged to the Children’s Miracle Network. A portion of the entry fee and cash donations by sponsors are earmarked to be donated. Only Certified Peace Officers are eligible to enter. There are three stages to the event.
  • Stage One is the ILEA qualification course of 50 rounds on a 5 point silhouette target. Stage One begins at the Cedar Rapids Police Department firearms range. The firearms stage will start at 0800 hours. Shoot what you carry. All participants must present proof of current status as a certified peace officer.
  • Stage Two also begins at the Cedar Rapids Police Department firearms range. The bicycle stage will begin at 1000 hours. The bicycle leg will go out on C Street and turnaround south of Shueyville returning to the staging area for a total of 20 miles. The course is paved roads with small hills. The main intersections will have traffic control. Helmets are required.
  • Stage Three begins immediately after stage two. Participants will leave their bicycles at the staging area and return to the Old River Road for the 1.55 mile running leg out to the turnaround and back for a total of 3.1 miles/ 5 km.
  • Water will be available at several points during stages two and three.
    More: All participants are encouraged to wear t-shirts or other clothing which identifies their agency.
    Directions To Race: Cedar Rapids Police Department firearms range – Old River Road- From Holiday Inn take Southgate Court Southwest to 33rd Ave SW and turn right. Enter onto I380 southbound. Exit I380 and merge onto Highway 30 eastbound Mt. Vernon exit. Continue on Highway 30. Exit Highway 30 onto C Street. Turn right, northbound, onto C Street. Turn right onto Ely Road SW. Turn left onto Old River Road.
