Saturday, March 12, 2005 :: Fayetteville, Arkansas:
Ozark Extreme Adventure Sprint Race Series (Race #1)
- Running/ Hiking 2 to 4 miles, Biking 6 to 12 miles, Canoeing 1 to 3 miles
- Location: Lake Fayetteville Park
- Course Info: Each team must consist of 2 members. The run and bike leg may consist of paved trails/streets and dirt trails. Paddling will be done with the provided canoe and regular paddle. The course is designed closely to a normal length adventure race to give the participants a feel of what adventure racing is all about. Participants will have to carry a passport and punch the appropriate checkpoints throughout the course. Also found on our course will be some special skills that each team will have to perform before being allowed to continue. These special skills may be anything from climbing a wall to solving puzzles, so be prepared for anything.

- Swim 1,000 yards, Bike 19 miles, Run 4 miles
- Location: The Lake Wedington Recreation area
- Course Info: The swim will take place inside the park in the very clean and clear Wedington lake. Swim course will be point to point in the shape of an upside down V. One single transition. Bike course is 95% outside the park on lightly traveled roads with flat and rolling terrain and one fairly significant climb. The run course which is completely inside the park is a two-loop course with a very tough hill on each lap, but with the remainder of the course on rolling, partially shaded terrain.

- Swim 800 yards, Mountain Bike 11 miles, Trail Run 4 miles
- Location: Burns Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas
- Course Info: Off-Road Triathlon
- Swim: The Swim has a deep water start. The course is Point to point straight line with the buoys being on your left. The exit is on a boat ramp with roughly a 75 yard run to transition. Expected water temp will be in the upper 70's. USAT rules will apply.
- Bike:. Well marked course, you can't get lost. 80% single track, 20% double. This thing has it all. Some sections are tight and twisty, others are big chain ring, a couple of knurly little downhill's, climbing, rocks roots and trees.... Man this thing is fun!!!!!
- Run: Combination of single track and forest road. Several creek crossings, a few obstacles and a couple of tuff climbs.

- Course Info: The course is a 1.1 mile closed course on smooth, fast pavement. The course runs clockwise with three 90-degree turns, one chicane and a long slightly downhill section that sweeps around the lake. The finishing stretch is on a straight section with a slight rise to finish line.
- More: There are beginner categories for both men and women. These categories are for first-time participants who've not competed in a USCF-sanctioned event.
