- Course Info: Instruction in land navigation, whitewater paddling and swimming, mountain biking, and fixed ropes skills including rappelling, ascending, and traversing. Aspiring adventure athletes interested in being a part of this fast-growing sport, and experienced racers who want to become more proficient will learn necessary outdoor skills at beautiful Camp Washington Carver. The Academy is the longest-running AR school in America. In addition to covering the above disciplines, we cover physical training, racing strategy and gear selection. Activities are held in scenic locations throughout the beautiful New River Gorge area. Classroom training takes place in the Camp Washington Carver cabin, the largest chestnut-log structure in the country. Instructors are accomplished adventure racers and experts in the various disciplines. The 6-day course culminates with the popular Endorphin FIX 2-Day Adventure Race

- Course Info: ALL NEW COURSE! A USARA National Championship Qualifier. Widely known as the "toughest 2-day race in the country", the popular 40-hour Endorphin FIX combines an extremely rugged 125-mile course with the magnificent beauty of the New River Gorge. Teams of 2 and 4, as well as solo competitors, hike and bike through the Appalachian Mountains, paddle on the New and/or Gauley Rivers, and conquer a thrilling fixed ropes challenge. This is an unsupported race, meaning no assistance crews are required.

- Course Info: 1.5 mile swim in the New River, w/current, negotiating one Class I rapid. Off road trail run is a seven mile leg with a 1000 vertical feet elev. gain. Mt. Bike leg is 10+ miles with spectacular view of New River Gorge and swim/run transition 1000' below! Very scenic but tough.
- Directions To Race From I-64, I-77: Take US 19 North (exit 48)to the Main St./Oak Hill exit. Turn right. At the Speedway Gas station(.1 mile) turn left on Minden Rd. Follow signs 2.9 miles to ACE Adventure Center.

- Course Info: 400 meter swim in indoor pool at the McDonough Center, Wheeling Jesuit Univ.; 25 K bike on police patrolled course from Wheeling Jesuit Univ. to Washington Ave. then east on National Road to Lumber Ave. to the Shilling Bridge. Course goes through the Elm Grove Crossing Mall parking lot to Krause Rd. then to National Rd. East on National Rd. to Middle Creek Road. Middle Creek Rd. to base of Union Hill Road. Turn around and return to Wheeling Jesuit Univ. following same route. 5K run on cross country trail on campus.
- Directions To Race: From Interstate 70 take the Washington Ave. exit and follow signs one quarter mile to Wheeling Jesuit University. Volunteers will direct race participants.

(Individual and team competiton winners receive medals. Overall male and female winners recieve trophies. Individuals can compete in gender, age and weight categories. Teams can compete in categories such as family team, business team, clergy team, faith community team, combined age teams, and civic/social club teams.
All proceeds from the race will benefit Faith in Action Caregivers, a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of independent living of older adults and people with disabilities through the shared ministry of faith communities. Typical free services include transportation to medical appointments, shopping, errands, chores, respite, friendly visiting and other services provided regardless of income level.)
