Hill Country Kid’s and Family Tri
- Distances vary by age group (see below)
- Location: McNaughton Pool in Plum Creek Subdivision located at 5820 McNaughton. Kyle, Texas 78640
- Course Info: This is a fun kid's race for children ages 5-15 years old and also includes and optional parent's "mini-tri".
- The swim will be a staggered start pool swim
- The rest of the race will be on the closed streets in the beautiful Plum Creek neighborhood in Kyle, Texas.
- Ages 5 - 6: 25 meter swim / 2.6 mile bike / 0.6 mile run
- Ages 7 - 10: 100 meter swim / 2.6 mile bike / 0.6 mile run
- Ages 11 - 15: 200 meter swim / 5.2 mile bike / 1.2 mile run
- Adults: 200 meter swim / 5.2 mile bike / 1.2 mile run
- More: Every racer will receive a finisher's medal when they cross the finish line!
- Trophies will be awarded for the 1-3 in each age group, as well as family awards for the top three teams.
- Refreshments and awards will take place in the McNaughton Park, next to the pool, immediately following the race.
- Packet pick-up will be held on Friday July 20th, 2007 from 2-8 pm at the Plum Creek Community Center, located at 405 Haupt Kyle, Texas 78640.
- A parent/guardian will be required to sign USAT waiver for their child.

finest off-road tri you'll ever experience in the state!
- SWIM: Open water river swim in the headwaters of the crystal clear
Nueces River, including two Dam jumps. There will be a cargo net
attached to the Dam so you can choose to climb down or jump. 800 Meters.
- BIKE: Mountain bike on 12 miles of carefully designed 95% single-track
dirt and rock. Mostly shaded with beginner, intermediate and expert sections included in the single loop.
- RUN: This section is one nice loop varying from dirt, grass, and rock.
It includes jeep trails, open fields, and some single track. You will
spend most of your time the first half of the loop on fairly rocky jeep
trails, and you can expect quite a bit of climbing in the beginning.
Once up to the peak of Windmill Hill you will leave the backcountry and
head back toward main camp to experience an incredible finishing
section. 6 Miles.

- Course Info: This triathlon is popular with beginners and children, although it is open to all. STARR TREK is held at the Texas A&M University - CC campus pool with the bike ride along the Corpus Christi Bay and the run on the campus's paved running trail.

- No current swim in the Concho River (no wetsuits)in 84 degree water.
- Bike is mostly flat with some rollers
- Run course is off road and mildly hilly. Affectionately known as the dirt road from hell.
- More: Oldest Triathlon in Texas, Oldest Olympic Distance event in all of Southwest. 6 time Regional Championship, 5 time State Championship, selected best race in South Midwest 4 times and one of top 50 triathlons in North America as rated by Triathlete Magazine.
- Directions To Race: Coming into town from US 277 or US 67 or US 87, take Loop 306 south exiting at Knickerbocker Road (look for signs to Airport). Go approximately 2 miles and turn right on Red Bluff Road until it becomes Middle Concho Road. Proceed another 6 tenths of a mile to race site.

Take on the Heat Triathlon

- Course Info: 350meter pool swim - 12 mile bike - 5k run
- The swim is in a brand new aquatic center – 50 meter lanes.
- The bike is on nice concrete urban roads. The course is slightly hilly but fast. Each major intersection and turn around will be traffic controlled with directional assistance.

- Swim Course - 800M/1,500M: A point-to-point swim in Joe Pool Lake at Cedar Hill State Park Beach
- Transition Area #1: Cedar Hill State Park Boat Launch Parking Lot
- Bike Course – 40K: The 40K Bike course will leave the parking lot from Cedar Hill State Park Marina and head out to Highway 1382 where it will make a right hand turn. Athletes will follow 1382 until they reach Hampton Road where they will make a left hand turn and follow Hampton Road north to West Illinois Avenue.
- At West Illinois Avenue athletes will turn right for 1 mile until they reach Zang Ave where they will make another left hand turn onto Zang Avenue. Cyclist will follow Zang Avenue until they reach Jefferson Blvd. Viaduct where they will take a right hand turn. Jefferson Blvd Viaduct turns into Market Street where athletes will turn left off of Market Street and onto Wood Street.
- Cyclist will follow Wood Street to Reunion Blvd West which they will follow around the traffic circle until they get to Sport Street where they will enter T2 before heading out on the 10K run course.
- Transition #2: -Reunion Arena Parking Lot
- 10K Run Course – 5K/10K: Following the completion of the 40K bike course athletes will transition in one of the parking lots along Sport Street to begin there 5K or 10K run course. Each loop is approximately 3.1 miles in distance (5K) and will offer athletes and spectators the opportunity to see friends and family members as they run to the finish on North Drive.
- Athletes will leave transition on Sport Street and head to Memorial Drive where they will turn left. Competitors will follow Memorial Drive until they reach S Lamar Street where they will turn left and head to Commerce Street where they will make a right turn. Athletes will run on Commerce until they reach North Ervay Street where they will turn left and then right onto Elm Street.
- Athletes will run on Elm back to Lamar Avenue and take a left turn back onto S Lamar Street. Competitors will travel along S. Lamar Street back to Memorial Drive and turn right before heading to a right hand turn onto Hotel Street. Athletes will run along Hotel Street until they reach Reunion Blvd East where they will turn left. After this left hand turn competitors will make an immediate left again onto the east side of Sport Street where they will either finish with a left turn onto North Drive or begin their second 5K loop.
- Directions To Race: Start out going EAST on N STEMMONS FWY toward MARKET CENTER BLVS. 0.2 miles
- Merge onto I-35E/US 77 S via the ramp on the left 7.2 miles
- Keep RIGHT to take US-67 S via EXIT 423A toward CLEBURNE 4.5 miles
- Merge onto I-20 W toward FT WORTH 6.3 miles
- Take the BELT LINE ROAD/ FM-1382 exit- EXIT 457 0.3 miles
- Turn LEFT onto S BELT LINE RD/ FM 1382 S. 1.2 miles
- Turn RIGHT onto W CAMP WISDOM RD. 0.9 miles

- The 1.86 mile swim features a very unique course in The Woodlands Waterway that features an opening 1 mile on a loop course before peeling off for the final .86mi in the Waterway Canal that takes participants to the swim exit at Town Green Park. Water temperature 82’ to 85’.
- The 80.6 mile bike is an out and back course out along The Woodlands Parkway. The first 15 miles are flat and fast before heading out on the rolling hill country for the middle section of the course. Riders will get a reprieve from the rolling hills when the course returns back to The Woodlands Parkway for the final 10 miles. Infinit Nutrition, water, ice and energy gel at mile 15, 30, 45, 60, and 75.
- The final 18.6 mile run features a spectator friendly three lap run course that tours The Woodlands Town Center providing participants with beautiful views of The Woodlands Waterway and the pristine neighborhoods surrounding the Town Center.
