- Location: Pueblo State Park - Rock Canyon
- Course Info: The course will be a 500 yard swim and a five-mile run from Rock Canyon towords the Nature Center.
- The race will begin on the east side on Rock Canyon Lake, swimmers will swim out and back for a 500 yard distance.
- The run out and back for a 5-mile distance.
- More: Amenities include a short-sleeve cool max t-shirt (shirt size will not be guaranteed after July 5th), a Park parking pass, & refreshments.
- Race day reigration will begin at 6:00 am and race packets must be picked up at least 30 minutes prior to wave start.

Boulder Peak Triathlon

- The swim is an open water swim in the Boulder Reservoir. The first wave begins at 6:30 a.m. The Professional athletes begin at 8:45 giving many of the age group athletes the opportunity to watch the pros compete.
- Bike ride is on open roads consisting of easy rolling hills and flats and the infamous hill on "Old Stage Road".
- Run is around the Boulder Reservoir on dirt roads.
- More: The Boulder Peak, now in it's 16th year, has consistently been ranked as one of the top Triathlons in the US. Boasting one of the top Professional fields in the US, the Pros will be competing for over $25,000 in cash.
- The Boulder Peak Triathlon is the second event in the "Boulder Triathlon Series." Over $15,000 is awarded to top age group athletes competing in the Series. This race is limited to 1650 participants and sells out early each year.

- 1K Lake Swim: The triathlon will begin with a 1 kilometer swim in Grant Lake, which is located above the Club at Crested Butte on Skyland Drive (private land).
- 24 K Mountain Bike: After the refreshing swim, you will make the transition to your mountain bike. There you will test your endurance as well as your technical skills on a variety of trails including Upper Loop, Upper Upper Loop and Strand Hill. After some lung popping climbs and steep decents you will ride back to Grant Lake on Brush Creek Rd. and re-enter the transition area to prepare for the run.
- 9 K Trail Run: Once you have made it through the second transition, the run will lead you back to the Upper Loop Trail. Instead of continuing to the Upper Upper, you will head down Whetstone Vista Trail to Brush Creek Rd. and back to Grant Lake where you will find the finish line.
- More:The temperature of Grant Lake is in the mid-sixty degree range in July, so wetsuits will be required.
- Directions: From Gunnison, take Hwy 135 North to Crested Butte for about 25.5 miles. Turn right on Brush Creek Road (CR 738) in to Skyland at The Club at Crested Butte sign. Turn left on to Skyland Drive and follow this up to the Lake. Watch for marshals showing you where to park. The Lake is not open to the public until race day.

- More: The 5430 Long Course Triathlon, now in it's 7th year,is the final event in the "Boulder Triathlon Series." Over $15,000 is awarded to top age group athletes competing in the entire Series. With $17,500 on the line, the Long Course attracts a top Pro field. Last year's winners were Joanna Zeiger and Craig Alexander. Kayaks launch here on a course to the House Creek boat ramp. Cyclists begin at the the ramp and continue on the FS road to Road 31 (Dolores/Norwood Road). From there they head back to Joe Rowell park via the Bean Canyons and some fast downhill.

Crescent Moon Sprint Triathlon

- Course Info:
- SWIM: Swimmers will complete a 750 Meter Out-and-back swim route in the Aurora Reservoir, starting and finishing on the sandy beach to the left of the pavilion. The start will be in waves which will be posted at packet pick-up locations and on our website 1 week before the event. Water temperature in the reservoir in September is typically in the sixties, so wetsuits are encouraged.
- BIKE: The 20K (12.4 mile) bike course is a rolling paved route which passes out of the Aurora reservoir, then goes east on Quincy to a turn-around point, then returns to the reservoir. Drafting is not allowed on the bike course, and motorcycle marshals will be enforcing this rule.
- RUN: The 5K (3.1 mile) run course is an out-and-back route on the bike path around Aurora. The run leaves the back corner of the upper parking lot and ravels to a turn-around point, then returns via the same route to finish near the pavilion at Aurora Reservoir swim beach.
- More: The Crescent Moon Sprint Triathlon is being held in conjunction with the Harvest Moon Long Course Triathlon to provide short-course participants with a fun late-season event. The Crescent Moon kicks off at 9:00 a.m. following the long course swim, and takes participants on an abbreviated version of the long course event. With a 750 Meter Swim, 20K Bike, and 5K Run. The timing of the race allows participants to cheer for their favorite long course athletes, and get in a race of their own at the same time!!! Registration for the inaugural Crescent Moon Sprint Triathlon is limited to 250 participants, so enter early.
- Directions To Race: I-70 east from the Denver, and exit onto I-225. Exit I-225 at 6th Avenue and turn left (east). 6th Ave. eventually becomes Gun Club Rd. Stay on this road as it continues past Buckley AFB. A short time later you will see signs for Quincy Ave and the Aurora Reservoir. Turn left on Quincy and right into the reservoir.

- Swim: (Triathletes Only) Swimmers will complete a 1.2 mile triangular shaped swim route in the Aurora Reservoir, starting and finishing on the sandy beach to the left of the pavilion. The start will be in waves which will be posted at packet pick-up locations and on our website 1 week before the event. Water temperature in the reservoir in early September is typically in the sixties, so wetsuits will are encouraged.
- 5k Run: (Duathletes Only) The Harvest Moon Duathlon is a 5K (3.1 mile) run, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run event. Duathletes will all begin in the same wave after all of the swimmers in the Tri have entered the water. Following the gently rolling opening run, racers will then follow the same bike and second run courses as the triathletes. There are no aid stations on the first 5K run. The course is completely closed to traffic.
- Bike: The 56 mile bike course will cover a mix of hilly terrain and long flats through the farm & ranch country of eastern Colorado. The start and finish will be the hilliest part of the course. Riders will complete a 46 mile loop, with a 5-mile out-and-back spur located in the first half of the course. The route will follow paved rural country roads as well as a 9-mile stretch of I-70. Drafting is not permitted on any portion of the bike course, and weenies who do will be penalized!!! Bike Aid Stations: There will be 3 water bottle hand-ups on the bike course stocked with water and Gatorade. Please discard all empty bottles at these zones only. Approximately 15 miles: On the map, this is on Quincy, shortly before the turn onto Watkins Road. Approximately 33 miles: On the map, this is on Hwy 36 in Bennett, shortly after you make the the turn from Hwy. 79. Approximately 44 miles: On the map, this is on Watkins Road, a couple of miles after you cross I-70.
- Run: The 13.1 mile run course is a winding route on the asphalt bike path around Aurora Reservoir - THE RUN COURSE IS NOT on concrete.. The run will be an out and back format, with aid stations at each mile. The terrain is flat to gently rolling, and the course is completely closed to motor vehicles. The run leaves the back corner of the upper parking lot and travels counter clockwise around the lake to a turn-around point on the dam, then returns via the same route to finish near the pavilion at Aurora Reservoir swim beach. Aid Stations will be located at each mile of the run. Water will be available at all aid stations. Gatorade will be available at miles 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 11. Food will be available at miles 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, and 12. Ice will also be available on the course!!!
- Directions To Race: The race site is the Aurora Reservoir, located a short drive from Denver. Spectators will be charged a $4.00 per vehicle entrance fee to the park. This fee will be waived for athletes on race day. The most direct route is to take I-70 east from the Denver, & exit onto I-225. Exit I-225 at 6th Ave. & turn left (east). 6th Ave. eventually becomes Gun Club Rd. Stay on this road as it continues past Buckley AFB. A short time later you will see signs for Quincy Ave & the Aurora Reservoir. Turn left on Quincy & right into the reservoir.
