Trail Run 2 miles, Road Bike 17 miles, Trail Run 2 miles
Start Time: 8:00am
Location: Camp Partlow, just outside of Tuscaloosa in Coker, Alabama
Price: Individuals - $25 prior to March 2 - $30 day of Event
  • Teams (Co-Ed, Male, Female) - prior to March 2 - $30 per person - $60 per person day of event
    Course Info: This is a 2-mile trail run through Camp Partlow transitioning into a 17-mile road bike ride and ending with another 2-mile trail run in the opposite direction from the first.
    More: T-Shirts - Sizes M, L, XL will be given to entrants.
  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place medals will be awarded in all age categories, as well as the male, female and co-ed teams.
    Directions To Race: Take Hwy 82 W through Northport (toward Columbus, MS) and travel appx. 3.3 miles past the intersection of 82 & 43 at the Northport Civic Center. At mile marker #44, turn right onto Mt. Olive Rd (County Rd 23). Go a short distance and look for the gate to Camp Partlow on your right. Duathlon signs with arrows will be posted prior to the turn coming from Columbus, MS and Tuscaloosa/Northport, AL.

    Location: Fairhope Municipal Pier
    Course Info: The 1/3 mile swim begins in Mobile Bay at the Municipal Park. The 16.4 mile bike course will take riders on a scenic loop course with rolling hills. Then the run will take you 3.1 miles through historic Fairhope neighborhoods.

    Location: Oak Mountain State Park
    Directions To Race: Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama is located about fifteen miles south of Birmingham, AL.
  • Take exit 246 off of I-65. Look for signs for Oak Mt. State Park. Turn on State Park Road off of Hwy 119 just off the Interstate exit. Look for the Amoco and Pizza Hut on State Park Road. Follow signs into the park. Take State Park Road to the first stop sign and turn left. You must pay $2 at the main gate to enter the park. Turn right a couple of miles past the main entrance on Terrace Drive. Race site is at the Beach Area on Terrace Drive, less than a mile from the main park road on your right.

    Triathlon ::: Swim 1500 meters, Mountain Bike 18.6 miles, Trail Run 6.2 miles
    Course Info: 1.5K swim / 30K mountain bike / 10K trail run
  • The course is classic XTERRA, with roots and rocks on twisting and rolling trails, a mix of single track and double track, a fair amount of climbing, and all on a single-loop mountain bike course.
  • The main event features a 1.5k swim in the calm waters of Double Oak Lake, followed by a 30k mountain bike and 10k trail run.
  • It will award points to amateur and professionals, qualify age groupers for the Nissan Xterra USA and World Championships, and dish out $20,000 to elites.
    Directions To Race: Oak Mountain State Park, the largest state park in Alabama, boasts nearly 10,000 acres of outdoor recreational playground and promises to be a great place for competitors to bring the whole family with mountains, lakes, and forests for hiking, biking, and fishing, a well-developed golf course and a riding stable. There are hundreds of campsites and cabins for rent, and the park is just a half-hour south of the historic and bustling city of Birmingham.

    Location: Guntersville City Recreation Center
    Course Info: Most of the course is around beautiful Lake Guntersville.
  • The run is all located by the running and walking trail beside the Guntersville Recreation Center.
  • Bike is the same course as the Mountain Lakes Triathlon, which is stationed here in August.
    More: Lots of food, music, door prizes, and beautiful scenery awaits you. Come join us!
    Directions: From Hwy 431 South in Guntersville, take Hwy 69 West,go to second red light and take left, first building on the right. From 431 North, take 69 West, third red light take left, first building on the right. Recreation Center is across the street from the grocery store, Piggly Wiggly.

    Course Info: 400 m Swim - 23 k Bike - 5k Run
  • 400m Open WaterSwim: dual interval start (based on swim times) every 3-6 seconds from pier. The swim is horseshoe shape. Run out at a beach and up the right side of the bike racks.
  • 23k Bike: Ride out to Goosepond Colony entrance & turn right. Turn left on Hwy 79. Turn right on US 72. Exit 72 and turn right on Hwy 279. Turn left into Goosepond Colony.
  • 5k Run: Run is a "breathtaking" rolling asphalt trail to the Goosepond Convention Center and back. Some dirt trail running involved ( last 300 yards).
    Directions To Race:
  • From Chattanooga, TN: Take I-24 West to Exit 152 (US 72) at Kimball/South Pittsburg. Turn right on US-72 and go Southwest for approximately 36 miles. Exit 72 to 279 South to Goose Pond Colony approximately 4.4 miles. Turn left into Goose Pond Colony and proceed ~ 1.9 miles to the start.
  • From Huntsville, AL: Take US 72 East for ~ 36 miles. Bear right on the ramp for "AL-279 to Scottsboro/Guntersville". There's a sign for Goose Pond Colony on the ramp. Turn RIGHT (not left) on AL-279,S Broad St and go Southwest for 4.4 miles. Turn left into Goose Pond Colony and proceed ~ 1.9 miles to the start.
  • From Birmingham, AL: Take I-59 northeast for ~ 92 miles. Exit I-59 at exit 218 "AL-35 Fort Payne/Rainsville. Turn left on AL-35 and continue for ~ 26 miles to US 72. Turn left on to US-72 and continue for ~ 2 miles. Exit 72 to 279 South to Goose Pond Colony approximately 4.4 miles. Turn left into Goose Pond Colony and proceed ~ 1.9 miles to the start.

    Paddle 2 miles, Trail Run 3.2 miles, Mountain Bike 5.5 miles
    Location: Desoto State Park
    Course Info: Flat water paddle at Comer Boy Scout Reservation, Then proceed on a 3.2 mile trail run that will carry you from the lake to the transition area. The run is easy to moderate. Once you reach tranistion mount your bike and your off for a 5.5 to 6 mile mtb bike trail that offers several challenging climbs as well as tight fast sections.
    Directions To Race:
  • From Birmingham; travel north on interstate 59 and take exit 218 in Fort Payne.
  • From Chattanooga: travel south on interstate 59 and take exit 222 in Fort Payne.
  • Once you exit the interstate follow the signs to Desoto State Park.
  • From Rome, Georgia: take highway 20 out of Rome into Alabama and 20 becomes highway 9. Turn right onto highway 35 and follow the sign to Fort Payne. Once your on Lookout Mtn follow the signs to Desoto State Park

    Course Info: Beginner friendly event. Runs are loops through quiet, relatively flat neighborhood. Bike exits through neighborhood, then out onto a flat, fast out and back course.

    Directions To Race: From Hwy 231 (Memorial Parkway), head East on Airport Rd, turn right at Trinity United Methodist church just before Whitesburg Dr. Signs will be posted in front of church.
