The Greater Cleveland Triathlon will once again be a USAT
sanctioned event for 2007.
In addition to being the governing body of multisport in the
United States, USAT is also a non-profit organization.
Membership fees have been raised for the coming year. In
addition, the one day race fee has been raised to $10.00
The cost for a youth membership is only $5.00 for the entire
year. So why wait? lets get them youngsters signed up today!
Each person that participates in the 2007 GCT will be
required to have a USAT membership or one day permit.
To become a USA Triathlon Member Click Here to print out a Temporary ID Card (valid at any USAT sanctioned event).
Your permanant I.D. will be sent to you via regular mail.

Packet pick up for the Greater Cleveland Triathlon will be on
Saturday, August 11, just after the Youth Triathlon from 10:00
AM to 6:00PM.
While you are in the area we would encourage you to spend some
time on the course to become familiar with it. You may want to
also bring your beach towel and spend some time on Ohio's
longest beach.
Please be reminded that you must pick up your packet in
person and also show a photo ID.

Help Us Keep This a Green Event!
When planning this event we used the principles of
Recycle-Reduce-Reuse. We would like to ask that you also join us
in supporting these tenets of making this a Green Event.
Please note that we will have specially marked recycling
containers for aluminum cans, plastic bottles and paper items.
We will also look to reuse the pins that you are given in you
race packets for other events.

Starting on March 1, 2008 at Oceanside, California and
concluding on July 4th in Washington, DC, The Freedom Run Across
America will attempt to raise $1,000,000 for our wounded
military, their children and also the Challenged Athlete
Fund(CAF).

Leading the run will be one of the "Original Ironmen" Tom Knoll.
Tom is 75 years old and a 50 plus year military veteran.
We atnticipate that you will also see a number of the original
14 participants from the fist Ironman in 1978 also involved with
Tom on his journey.
We are currently working with the route planning people to bring
this inspiring group thru the Cleveland, Ohio area. I hope that
we can plan on you support.
